Air Traffic Control Tower Zeltweg

The Ministry of Defence commissioned a new military air traffic control tower and a building for the aircraft and rescue aircraft to be constructed. The tower has nine above ground floors with a total height above the ground surface of approximately 44m. This height is necessary in order to provide air traffic controllers an unobstructed view of the entire operational area and airport surroundings. In addition to the airport fire brigade vehicles, the adjacent vehicle hall situated on the ground level will also house those vehicles necessary to maintain the runway.
