Where everything comes together
With the new construction of the more than 4 ha large Med Campus, the fourth university in Graz was built. In this way, the formerly geographically distributed medical university premises were merged under one roof next to the LKH Universitätsklinikum Graz. Twelve institutes, four research centres, educational establishments, start-up businesses, one administration office block as well as infrastructure for students such as a canteen and Aula moved into module 1. Module 2 is currently under construction and is partly being built on top of the already existing parking garage in Stiftingtalstaße as well as being an extension to the northern part of Module 1.
Something completely different
The building is 26 meters high, but most of the construction is below the surface. The excavation pit of Module 2 is more than 20 metres deep. The facts: 80,000 m³ of excavation, 6,000 meters of drilled piles and 12,000 meters of anchorage foundations are necessary. A big challenge for our site supervision team!
